While Central Indiana restaurants, coffee shops, and bars are closed for in-person service, you can still support many local establishments by ordering takeout and delivery. Also learn more about how you can help those in need of a meal and support service industry folks without leaving your house!

Savor and Sip Restaurant Week

A list of places you can get delivery, takeout and curbside (Downtown, Hamilton County, International Marketplace, Midtown and Speedway) from the folks behind Savor and Sip Restaurant Week Events. 

INDY SERVICE WORKERS VENMO LIST

Here’s a list of Venmo handles for more than TWO THOUSAND (and counting) Indy service workers if you’re so inclined to leave your favorite server a real “tip” via Venmo.

THE PATACHOU FOUNDATION

Indy Maven member and Executive Chef of The Patachou Foundation Twinkle VanWinkle is working to prep three times as many meals over the next few weeks for IPS schools to distribute to kids and families (A normal week is  about 2,000 meals). If you’re a chef and interested in volunteering, let her know. Or you can donate to The Patachou Foundation directly.

Michelle’s Little Free Pantry

Indy Maven Editorial Board Member Michelle Waugh Dahl operates Michelle’s Little Free Pantry in Franklin. To donate, drop non-perishable items off at one of the following locations or donate items via their Amazon Wish List.

SPONSOR A SOUP

Soupremacy is working to ensure those facing food insecurity have enough to eat. Customers are able to “Sponsor a Soup” by purchasing a $15 quart (normally $20) that will be donated to the Martin Luther King Community Center and potentially other nonprofits in the future. Soupremacy will coordinate delivery to the Center.

To participate, visit Soupremacy.com and click “Order Now.” Then choose “Pickup” and select anytime the shop is open. From here, choose “Sponsor a Soup” listed under the “Categories” tab and complete the order.

4 BIRDS BAKERY

Chef and owner Jenna Unrue has announced a new project, #Cookies4theFrontline. “This project allows you to purchase a dozen of our salted chocolate chip cookies ($15/dozen) for those who are selflessly helping those affected by Covid-19 and keeping the rest of us safe,” the bakery posted on Instagram. “We will announce a new hospital, fire house or other organization each week. To place your order visit our Venmo account @Cookies4TheFrontline. Orders for each week’s organization must be placed by ‪Wednesday at midnight‬ and will be delivered that Friday.”

BLU MOON CAFE

The Carmel restaurant (inside the Indiana Design Center) is now offering family Meal and Pantry Items delivery for purchase with offerings like meatloaf, roasted salmon, and chicken stir fry. Check out the Facebook post on the right for more details.
