About Kim:
After 15+ years of experience in marketing and communications, including working for a Fortune 500 company, being a published journalist for one of the largest newspapers in the U.S., managing crisis communications when the Reliant Astrodome and other facilities were used as shelter after Hurricane Katrina, and establishing a department as Director, Communications for The Indianapolis Public Library, Kim Crowder is all about taking on new challenges.
Last year, Kim took the leap of leaving a six-figure salary and followed her dreams and purpose of being an entrepreneur. She is now doing what she believes is her life’s work—diversity, equity, and inclusion, and singing. Through consulting, Kim works directly with leadership in organizations to empower them to get comfortable with being uncomfortable around social justice issues. The goal? To guide leaders in a journey of self-reflection in order to become braver, more authentic, and inclusive leaders, both in their personal and professional lives, so that they are leading teams who are truly heard, valued, and supported.
Kim is a native of Houston, TX, who has lived in Indy for the past 8+ years. When she is not consulting and singing, you can find her salsa dancing, traveling, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, attending artsy events, or laughing hysterically with family and friends.
