Calling all book lovers! Join us for LIT by Indy Maven, an evening celebrating literature featuring:
- Book Swap: Bring one of your favorite reads and pass it on with a note inside sharing something like: how it changed your life or perspective, the character you’ll never forget, or a favorite page and why
- Literary-themed cocktails + delicious hors d’oeuvres
- “Shelf Medicate” (learn more below)
- Gift bags and more surprises!
“Shelf Medicate”
Do you ever just wish you could find the answers to life in a book? “Shelf Medicate” is our version of that. Here’s how it works:
You submit your current situation or mood in 100 words or less in advance of the event by emailing hello@indymaven.com.
A selection of these mini-stories will be read aloud (anonymously) and our expert panelists will share their “prescriptions” — everyone walks away with new book recommendations!
Tickets are $45 in advance or $50 at the door, with 10% of profits going to the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization.
