What the first concert you attended?

Janet Jackson at Market Square Arena. I was in 3rd grade.

What’s been your favorite concert?

Sleigh Bells. I LOVE ALEXIS KRAUSS and I especially love her quest for clean beauty products, and her amazing live performances.

Best local spot to attend shows?

The Vogue—it’s in my neighborhood and I’ve seen some great shows there this year including Thievery Corporation, Reignwolf, Steel Pulse, Thundercat, and STRFCKR, just to name a few.

What is the most important aspect of music for you in your life?

I think music is a great way to express emotions—I listen to different music based on what kind of mood I’m in. It’s a way to escape and disconnect.
