How to Shop Yelp’s Totally Bazaar

Tips and tricks to make your experience even more fantastic.
Yelp Totally Bazaar Indianapolis Public Library Indy Maven

Are you ready for Indy’s most exciting holiday shopping party? Yelp’s Totally Bazaar returns to the Central Library on Saturday, December 7 with 150+ local businesses, 10+ local food vendors, unique interactive experiences, and live entertainment to enjoy while you shop ‘til you drop.

With so many things to taste, see, do, and buy, it can feel a little overwhelming to navigate the crowd and enjoy yourself in the process. To help you make the most of your night, we asked Indy Yelp Community Manager Niki Burt for some advice on how to shop like a pro.

Skip the stress of finding a parking spot

If the thought of driving around trying to find a parking spot gives you anxiety, first of all, you’re not alone. Secondly, you can skip the madness by taking a Lyft to and from the event. Use the promo code YELPBAZAAR to get 15% off two rides to and from the library.

Start the party in line

The line to get into the library can be long, so come prepared wearing a warm coat while you wait.

“For the first time ever, the magical night will spill outside the venue,” says Burt. “A pop-up performance from Phoenix Theatre will bring holiday cheer and sweet Italian baked goods will be passed out to attendees waiting in line.”

Strategize your shopping

Head to the information desk to snag an event map and free tote bag to use for your goods (just make sure you have the Yelp app downloaded on your phone).

If shopping is your main objective, start at the top floor and work your way down to avoid the most crowded areas. Review the list of local businesses on the Yelp event page beforehand to make sure you hit all your favorite booths.

Don’t miss out on exclusive local collaborations

The only thing better than one local business is two local businesses collaborating to create something spectacular. Make sure you don’t pass up on these one-time-only partnerships:

Simplicity Cold Pressed Juice and West Fork Whiskey are partnering up to make a special cocktail.

Circles Ice Cream and Tinker Coffee are partnering to make a coffee-centric ice cream.

Soupremacy will be pouring their homemade soups into handmade clay bowls by Dancing Pottery.

Fuel up on local food and drink

When you need a little pick-me-up, head to the food hall for ready-to-eat bites from Punch Burger, Soupremacy, Pots & Pans Pie Co. and more.

Thirsty?

“Go up the stairs on either side of the food hall to enter the secret beverage wing,” says Burt. “Enjoy samples and snag some hooch to turn your shopping experience into a party.”

We’re way ahead of you.
