I spent a lot of time in hospitals growing up. Both of my parents had cancer (several times) and quite a few other issues over the years so I know what a welcoming medical environment looks like. I’ve had two babies so I know the anxiety an ultrasound can bring. I have two rowdy boys so I know the importance of immediate care. And, as some of you might know, my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year. I know how important accessing and understanding health information is.
