Make the most out of your Independence Day celebration at these local festivals and events.

Fourth of July is this weekend—and there is so much to do in Indy. Check out these fun events and add them to your itinerary for the holiday weekend.

Downtown Fireworks

Fireworks are back in downtown Indy, and you can’t miss it. Fireworks will launch from 500 North Meridian beginning at 10 p.m. Tune in to B105.7 and 97.1 Hank FM for patriotic music to accompany the fireworks.

Downtown Olly’s 4th of July Blast

Downtown Olly’s is the perfect place to be on the Fourth of July. Stop by to watch the downtown fireworks, enjoy a concert, and play games on Olly’s back patio. The backyard party starts at 6 p.m. and live music begins at 8 p.m. 

Independence Day Social

For a patriotic independence day, visit the Benjamin Harrison Presidential site for a front porch tour, yard games, and ice cream. Reservations are required for this event and social distancing will be maintained.

Independence Day Celebration with Fireworks

The Marion County Fairgrounds and Events Center is a great spot to spend your Fourth of July. Stop by for games, food, rides, and a beautiful fireworks display. The event runs from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm and has a $5 entry fee.

Firecracker 6

If you’re feeling athletic this Fourth of July, sign up for the 12th annual Firecracker 6. Run or walk a 6k or 6 miler starting in White River State Park and ending in Military Park. While you make your way through the trails and streets, take in great views of downtown Indy. Register to run or walk in person or virtually.

Star Spangled Symphony 

Get your fix of patriotic music this Fourth of July with the Star Spangled Symphony at Conner Prairie. The concerts by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will be held each night at 8:00 p.m. from July 2 to July 4. Each concert will conclude with a firework display.

Carmelfest

Carmelfest will be held from July 4 to 5. Enjoy a range of activities including fireworks, a parade, festival food, and shopping at Carmelfest’s 33rd celebration.

Noblesville Fourth of July Fireworks Festival and Parade

Head to Noblesville for a Fourth of July celebration with a parade, live music, and of course, fireworks. The parade will go through the streets of Noblesville starting at 2:30 p.m. on July 4 and fireworks will begin at 10 p.m.

Zionsville Lions Annual Fourth of July Celebration

Check out Zionsville Lions Annual Fourth of July Celebration in Lions Park for music, bounce houses, and games beginning at 5 pm. Try some tasty treats including doughnuts, elephant ears, kettle corn, and tenderloin and finish the day with fireworks beginning at dusk.

Brownsburg Lions Club Fourth of July Extravaganza

Celebrate Fourth of July all week at the Brownsburg Lions Clubs Fourth of July Extravaganza. The event begins on July 29 and runs through July 4. The parade will be held on July 3 at 10 am, and Indy’s Jazz Orchestra will play from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m. on July 4.

Westfield Rocks

Westfield Rocks has something for all ages from a fun kids zone to free musical entertainment. Be sure to check out their fireworks at 10 p.m. on July 4.
