Let me say it plainly: I want to be a background stooge on The Pat McAfee Show and be a Talent Advocate/Manager in WWE. But Jennifer Magley, you are a middle-aged, midwestern mom, are you even serious?
Perhaps you only know me for my stage work and women’s business events in Indiana, but in my life pre-Indy, I lived in the full-time gritty world of sports and entertainment. My childhood played out at the toughest playground in the world, IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, and if the Hunger Games were about sports, that would capture my upbringing. If you weren’t aware, I’ve been an NCAA Champion, DI NCAA Head Coach, and professional athlete, and I am currently the Chief Brand Officer at The Basketball League (TBL) and Basketball Super League (BSL).
Hence, I’ve been a high-level competitor since birth and possess an inner life that may frighten the faint of heart. So while you may think my brand is only Women’s Power Lunches and gowns, what comes next may shock you.
Allow me to re-introduce myself, my name is Jennifer Magley, and I am shameless.
In a town known for quiet Midwestern hustle, I’ve always been… louder. Bolder. I don’t wait for doors to open; I build a runway, fly the plane, and land it on WWE’s doorstep if I have to. Case in point: instead of sending a pitch email to the Pat McAfee Show, I recorded a full parody video dressed as him—complete with tank top and electric swagger. I call it “content for one rather than content for all.” And who cares about going viral in the abyss of social media posts?
Consider using social to reach your target rather than a wider audience. It’s worked so far.
Earlier this year, I stood next to WWE’s Byron Saxton, co-emceeing a community event ahead of the Royal Rumble in Indianapolis. I felt something shift when I stepped onstage and announced Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton to a roaring Gainbridge Fieldhouse. That wasn’t just a good gig—it was the dream. Walking out before or with athletes as a WWE Talent Manager and stoking the flames of storyline fury feels like the thing I may have been born to do.
And I don’t just do this for fun. As an in-demand speaker and event emcee, I regularly get paid to discuss my expertise on real stages nationwide. So, girls, I’m ready for the bright lights.
I live in Indianapolis, and the actual spotlight is here. The WWE has signed a multi-year deal with the city. Pat McAfee is filming down the street. I’m the girl who can flow with the bruhs. If ever there were a time to shoot your shot, this is mine.
Why not me? I know athletes. I am an athlete. I know cameras. I know how to command a stage, but more importantly, I know how to be in on the joke.
I’m not afraid to say it: I want to ride the line between sports and spectacle. Not as a gimmick, but as a brand. As a moment. As a woman who’s done the serious thing—and now dares to do the unexpected one.
WWE and The Pat McAfee Show may not need me. But I could bring something extra to their world: a background stooge who knows her story, owns her power, and isn’t afraid to say the thing you were thinking.
And that, my friends, is my most serious offer ever.
