Vintage Movie Night: Tumbleweeds

Garfield Park Arts Center, July 12

Internationally known film preservationist Eric Grayson will host Vintage Movie Night at the Garfield Park Arts Center this month, featuring “Tumbleweeds”. This 1925 Western shows the last great land rush in America, the opening of the Cherokee Strip in the Oklahoma Territory, to homesteaders. Follow an itinerant cowboy named Don Carver as he encounters settlers arriving in his town, all too anxious to participate in the upcoming rush. This event is free for all ages.

2025 Levitt VIBE Indianapolis Music Series: July Concert

Big Car Collaborative and Arte Mexicano en Indiana are thrilled to continue as part of a national program to bring free, high-quality, live concerts through the Levitt VIBE Indianapolis Music Series! Additionally, performances may include cultural aspects like traditional dance performances and opportunities for local artists and artisans to sell their work as a part of these lively community events. This month’s lineup includes singers like Wife Patrol, Technicolor Band, and Florelis Jimenez, along with J & J Taste of Home Food Truck, and other fun activities.

Indy Actors Playground 

Indy Reads, July 14

Indy Actors Playground features a rotating cast of local actors and is hosted by Lou Harry and Kelsey Leigh Miller. These play readings have no props, no preparation, just great actors selecting and reading the plays they’ve always wanted to perform.

This monthly event is on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Readings are appropriate for audiences aged 13+.

AT&T WNBA All-Star Game 2025

Gainbridge Fieldhouse, July 18 – 19

The AT&T WNBA All-Star 2025 Weekend is set to take over Indianapolis on July 18–19, with a packed lineup of events at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the Indiana Convention Center. Friday kicks off with the Kia Skills Challenge and STARRY 3-Point Contest, plus WNBA Live—a fan festival blending sports, fashion, music, and culture. The All-Star Game itself will air live on ABC at 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. Hadestown: Teen Edition

Hadestown: Teen Edition at Footlite Musicals is the winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Score, and four Drama Desk Awards. This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – “Hadestown” invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. This is Footlite’s Young Artists Production with performers aged 13 through 19. Tickets range from $15 to $25.

Looking for a way to get your kids out of the house this summer? Make music and make friends in a comprehensive music education experience! This Monday-Thursday camp offers many music-making opportunities and activities that conclude with a concert so campers can share what they’ve learned with their family and friends on the big stage. This camp is designed for children entering grades 1-8 in the fall of 2025. All singers will have the opportunity to audition for the Indianapolis Children’s Choir during camp.

Legally Blonde The Musical

A fabulously fun, award-winning musical based on the adored movie, “Legally Blonde The Musical”, follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Jon Pardi: Honkytonk Hollywood Tour

If you were questioning whether or not to go to this concert back in May, or if you weren’t able to make it, now is your second chance! The original concert, celebrating the release of Jon Pardi’s fifth album “Honkytonk Hollywood”, was unfortunately cancelled due to an illness, but it is now rescheduled for July 25 and tickets are still available.
