Moving to Indianapolis from Michigan 10 years ago for graduate school at I.U., Allison Barkel fell in love with this city and stayed. These days, as a Consultant for Summit Managed Solutions she helps create innovation solutions and program development within the healthcare space. With a background in learning and development, education, and program management, Allison is passionate about serving her community with a particular focus on equity, environmentalism, and the arts. As a foodie, she loves exploring Indy’s growing food scene as a Yelp Elite, and is committed to supporting local businesses. Outside of work and volunteering, you’ll find Allison outdoors – hiking, kayaking, traveling. Tell us more, Allison!

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community? I was just promoted from Associate Consultant to Consultant!
What’s next for you? What can we expect to see over the next few years? I want to continue to dig deep into serving my community and focus on equity and environmentalism (hello intersectional environmentalism!), while also pursuing additional leadership opportunities within Indianapolis. I plan to continue to grow as a Consultant within Summit Managed Solutions and also explore the concept of social impact and value-driven decision-making within businesses.
