Heartland International Film Festival

ndiana’s largest and longest-running film festival will celebrate its 30th anniversary this October across Indianapolis! Since the inaugural Festival in 1992, Heartland has grown from a 4-day event with less than 20 films to an 11-day celebration featuring more than 100 independent films, 200 visiting filmmakers and 300 film screenings.

Tickets are not available yet, but when they go on sale, you can order by calling 866-HFF-1010 or visiting the Heartland Film office in-person.

During the Festival (Oct. 7-17), tickets may also be purchased at any Festival theater box office. The box office opens one hour before the first screening of the day and closes 30-minutes after the last film begins.

Indy Shorts International Film Festival

Indy Shorts International Film Festival, presented by Heartland Film and the organizers of the Heartland International Film Festival (HIFF), is an Academy Award®-qualifying fest dedicated to the art of short film! The largest short film festival in the Midwest, Indy Shorts showcases storytelling from around the world in Indianapolis. Indy Shorts expanded as its own separate event from HIFF in summer 2018 and all winners (Grand Prize and Audience Choice Awards) play encore screenings at the Heartland International Film Festival in October.

Our call for entries for #IndyShorts2021 is now open! Submit your film now and be a part of the Midwest’s largest short film festival!
