Indy Maven’s Favorite Strawberry-Flavored Treats in Town

Love strawberries? You’re in luck. From cheesecake shooters to balsamic-infused jam, we’ve found six strawberry treats in Indianapolis worth trying.

There’s nothing more perfect for summertime than strawberries, so we’ve rounded up six strawberry-filled treats that are absolutely delicious. Another bonus? They’re all from businesses in Indiana that are either owned or co-owned by women.

STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE SHOOTERS FROM MARSHA’S SPECIALTY DESSERTS & TIERNEY’S CATERING

Marsha’s Specialty Desserts & Tierney’s Catering in Avon offers mini strawberry cheesecake shooters that have a graham cracker base,  strawberry filling, strawberry cheesecake, whipped cream topping, and a fresh strawberry on top. They include a mini spoon and cost $2.50 each.

STRAWBERRY CRUNCH CAKE FROM SUGARCOATED AVENUE

Alyssa Hines is the owner of Sugarcoated Avenue, and she offers a “Strawberry Crunch Cake” that is inspired by a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar. It’s a 6-inch, two-layer strawberry and white marbled cake with fresh strawberry filling and cream cheese icing in the middle. The cake is then iced with cream cheese icing and coated with strawberry-flavored crunch. You can order yours for $50, or without the strawberry filling for $45.

LIFE-SIZED STRAWBERRY PASTRY FROM GALLERY ON 16TH

Gallery Pastry Shop’s newest location, Gallery on 16th, offers a rotating variety of pastries daily, and one delicious option that you might find is a life-sized strawberry-shaped pastry filled with strawberry mousse for $10. You can call ahead to see if it’s available, and if not, you might find other tasty options like strawberry mousse croissants or strawberry-filled donuts.

STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE OVERLOAD PANCAKES FROM SUGAR FACTORY

Sugar Factory in downtown Indy has a new weekend-only brunch menu, and it includes these decadent “Strawberry Cheesecake Overload Pancakes.” For $25, you’ll get a stack of pancakes topped with cheesecake bites, strawberry topping, white chocolate sauce, raspberry sauce, a slice of cheesecake, a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. There’s plenty to share – but only if you feel like it.

STRAWBERRY BALSAMIC JAM FROM PRESERVATION

Melanie Miles is the owner of a local company called Preservation that specializes in uniquely flavored jams and jellies. Her Strawberry Balsamic Jam is made with balsamic vinegar and costs $9.95 a jar, and it’s perfect for livening up toast and pairing with brie or goat cheese.

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE BOWL FROM TREATS BY FEE LLC

You won’t regret ordering the $7 “Strawberry Shortcake Bowl” from Felicia Brown’s “Treats By Fee” dessert truck. It’s a 16-ounce bowl filled with strawberry cake, strawberry glaze, cheesecake-flavored mousse, fresh strawberries, and slices of shortcake on top.
