Her tip on selecting family portrait outfits: “Aesthetically you can’t go wrong with neutral, coordinating outfits with limited patterns. I find it is more important to encourage people to wear something that they feel confident and comfortable in so their personalities can shine through in the photographs.”

Her advice on how to get great family photos: “Most of the families I photograph don’t want stiff, posey photos—they want images that capture their connection and joy. And the best way to make images of families having fun is to actually have fun during the photo session.”

Here’s Jessica’s key to ensuring your day goes off without a hitch and she captures every moment: “I approach weddings with a very easygoing spirit, as weddings bring enough anxiety on their own. I am there to do my best work, without being obtrusive, merely being a detailed observer. I believe that every wedding is incredibly unique and should be treated just as that.”

Stacy Able

Here’s Stacy’s best advice for planning your shot list and enjoying the big day: “There is pressure to do what others have done or want you to do, but it is your day to celebrate. Stick to what matters most to you. Be mindful of the guest list so you two can spend more time with your most favorite people who are there to celebrate you. Try to let the day unfold and be in the moment for the most natural images.”
