From cozy book events and festive carol concerts to holiday pop-up bars and movie nights, there’s plenty to do this month in Indianapolis. And that’s a hill we’ll die sled on.
Miracle on Maryland
Through Dec. 31
The Christmas pop-up bar Miracle is bringing its immersive holiday experience to downtown Indianapolis. Open now through Dec. 31, Miracle on Maryland will transform 15 E. Market Street into a sparkling winter wonderland.
“Hamilton”
Dec. 2-14
The hit Broadway show “Hamilton” comes to Indianapolis Dec. 2-14. A by hit, we mean in addition to its 11 Tony Awards, it has won Grammy®, Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors. We dunno, maybe you’ve heard of it?

Indianapolis Propylaeum Holiday Open House

Celebrate the season at the Indianapolis Propylaeum. The historic mansion will be beautifully decorated for the holidays and filled with festive tunes to set the mood. The event is free and open to the public.

Heartland Merry Movie Nights

Heartland Film brings back Merry Movie Nights for a fourth year. This mini-movie series will showcase six festive films, each paired with an activity from gingerbread cookie decorating to wine and chocolate tasting.

Christmas on the Farm

Giant light displays are cool, but have you ever seen Santa on a tractor? Christmas on the Farm at Traderspoint Creamery brings all the cozy vibes, with campfires and s’mores, holiday lights and music, old-world crafts and, of course, Santa. Stop at the North Pole to write a letter to Santa, visit the Jingle Bell Café for festive snacks, and enjoy seasonal craft cocktails, hot chocolate, and eggnog at the bar.

If this doesn’t sound cozy, we don’t know what does: A holiday jazz set performed on a private flower farm on eight acres of woodland, while you snack on charcuterie and sip hot cider. Following the concert, you design your own glass ornament using florals from the farm. We mean…COME ON.
