For the past 18 years, La Tonya Brown has dedicated herself as the Executive Director of Leading Ladies Inc., a non-profit mentoring organization committed to mentoring young girls between the ages of 12-18.
She is currently in school, obtaining her Master’s in Addiction and Mental Health Counseling with a vision to provide therapy in a creative way to all. As a single mother raising two kids—a 20-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son—La Tonya understands balancing a personal and professional life.
She is the author of “Courageous Love,” a self-help workbook designed to support families who have a loved one in addiction, recovery, and beyond. Her new book, set to be released in 2024, focuses on helping youth in their transition from middle school to high school, providing guidance and support during this pivotal phase of their lives.
La Tonya also serves as a producer overseeing the “Project From Me 2 U” documentary, available on Amazon Prime. The project follows the transformative journeys of seven individuals, capturing their stories from trauma to triumph and inspiring countless viewers along the way.
As a motivational speaker, La Tonya engages audiences through workshops at conferences, corporate events, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions. She covers critical topics such as mental health, addiction, effective communication, leadership, and the profound impact of networking. Her aim is to ignite inspiration and empower individuals to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and determination.
