Tori Sandler is the owner of Notorious Enterprises LLC under which she runs Notorious Vintage, a funky colorful maximalist vintage clothing and lifestyle brand. Specializing in size and gender inclusive clothing with two locations to shop in Indianapolis; Satellite Vintage in Broad Ripple and Market Vintage in Irvington.

Tori SandlerMy Maven Superpower is…Organization! I’ve always attributed my ability to wear so many hats to staying organized. It helps that I thoroughly love it, but lots of calendars, spreadsheets, lists, Asana projects, etc..  “For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned.” – Benjamin Franklin

Best book I’ve read lately isBraving the Wilderness by Brene Brown.

Self-care habit I swear by…SLEEP (and hydration). I prioritize sleep over most everything. It gives me the clarity to be more productive and effective.

My first job was…A server in an assisted living facility dining hall.

The best career advice I can offer is…Always show up authentically and stay focused on your goals, not on what other people are doing or what they think of what you are doing. Stay kind and don’t let negativity/haters derail you.

A purchase I’ve been loving lately is…I recently invested in a nutritionist, and she’s completely opened my eyes to how poorly I treat my body. Pro Tip: bet you aren’t getting enough protein in your diet!

I feel most confident when…I’m surrounded by like-minded people who all genuinely understand each other. When we are laughing, and brainstorming, and scheming, and lifting each other up.

My favorite local restaurant dish is…Salmon Sandwich and cheese curds from Twenty Tap in Broad Ripple.

The thing I’ve been binging lately is…Information to learn SEO to assist me on my selling platforms and writing blogs.

A fun fact about me is…I collect clown art, costumes, and figurines. I have over 120+ displayed around my house.

The skill I most want to learn is…Sewing is on my list this year so that I can mend my own clothing and inventory and begin to make dresses and skirts for myself out of my vintage fabric hoard.

A Maven you should know is…Lilly Harper.

My favorite nonprofit to support isIrvington Counseling Collective– mental health support.

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community? Last month I added another Notorious Vintage location, Route 46 Vintage, to the roaster in Nashville, Indiana next to the Brown County Antique Mall that I share with my mom who is also a vintage seller.

What’s next for you? What can we expect to see over the next few years?…To continue to nurture and build upon our brick-and-mortar shops as well as grow NV’s online presence in order to broaden our reach.

I feel most myself when…I’m wearing something authentically “me”. Usually something loud, colorful, and comfortable. That concept became the foundation for Notorious Vintage as I created a brand for others who also wanted to cultivate an individual style that showcased their unique personalities through secondhand clothing.

My “must have” product is…A 40 oz. water bottle that I carry with me EVERYWHERE. Gotta stay hydrated!
