Charisse PierceMy Maven Superpower is…Creating clarity where things feel complex or hard to explain.

The best book I’ve read lately is…15 Lies Women Are Told at Work by Bonnie Hammer. I also had the opportunity to hear her speak recently, which added another layer of perspective to the ideas in the book.

Self-care habit I swear by…Quiet time to think and reflect. It’s where I tend to process, reset, and find clarity.

My first job was…My first job was at Hardee’s when I was 16. Shortly after, I worked at the independently owned Record & Sound Shop that sold cassette tapes and CDs, installed sound systems in cars, and rented VHS tapes. Definitely a different time.

The best advice I can offer is…Pay attention to the thinking behind your work that may not be recognized or named. There’s often more value there than you realize, especially when you learn how to articulate it.

A purchase I’ve been loving lately is…My MacBook and the transition from PC. It’s been a small shift that’s made a noticeable difference in how I work and create day to day.

I feel most confident when…I have clarity on what I’m trying to say and the space to say it in my own way.

My favorite local restaurant dish is…Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts from PF Chang’s.

The thing I’ve been binging lately is…I recently binged a Netflix show called Inside Man. I tend to lean toward shows that pull me in and help me fully disconnect for a bit, and this one definitely did that.

A fun fact about me is…I tend to think deeply about things many people move past quickly, which means I often notice patterns or connections others might miss.

The skill I most want to learn is…Continuing to refine how I communicate ideas clearly and simply, especially in larger rooms.

A Maven you should know is…I’m still getting to know the community, but looking forward to discovering this soon.

My favorite nonprofit to support is…Organizations that support women’s growth, development, and access to opportunity.

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?…Recently, I’ve been developing and refining my keynote around recognizing the strategic thinking often hidden in high performance, and beginning to share that message more publicly.

What’s next for you? What can we expect to see over the next few years?…Continuing to grow my speaking platform and bring this message to more audiences, while expanding the work of Cordison Consulting to support both individuals and organizations in creating success that feels as good as it looks.

I feel most myself when…I feel most myself when I have the space to think clearly and express an idea in a way that resonates with someone else. Whether that’s in conversation or speaking, that moment of clarity and connection feels like home to me.

My “must-have” product is…A simple, well-designed planning system. I like having a place to think, organize, and keep things clear without overcomplicating it.
