July 4  |  Fourth Fest

It’s America’s 250th birthday! Celebrate at Downtown Indy’s Fourth Fest presented by UA Local 440, featuring a street festival and 20-minute fireworks show! The street festival, begins at 6 p.m. with food trucks, ice cream stands, beverages, and a Kids Zone on St Clair Street and American Legion Mall.

National Powwow XIX

July 8–19  |  Indiana Black Expo: Summer Celebration

This is one of the largest cultural events in the country. The 2026 event features an Education Conference, and a Business Conference hosting top corporate leaders. This year’s lineup features KEM, King George, October London and Midnight Star, headline the legendary Music Heritage Festival portion of the week.

July 9  |  National Powwow XIX

This vibrant celebration of culture takes place only every 3 years. For 57 years, National Powwow has brought together exceptional singers, dancers, craftsmen, and historians from across the U.S. and around the world. It’s a beautiful, immersive opportunity to experience and share the knowledge, awareness, and education of American Indian culture.

BLACK: A Festival of Joy

July 11  |  BLACK: A Festival of Joy

Celebrating its fifth year, this grass-roots gathering has turned into a major summer staple. It is free, family-friendly, and completely dedicated to celebrating Black joy. The park will be packed with local Black-owned food trucks, local artisan vendors, live DJs, interactive art pop-ups, and wellness spaces.

July 18  |  2nd Annual Indy Lemon Drop Festival

A lively summer day-party environment focusing on highlighting local drink vendors, food trucks, and small craft businesses right along the scenic downtown canal.

July 23  |  Indy Maven July Meetup

If you haven’t stepped inside owner Britt Spencer’s beautifully curated emporium yet, prepare to be completely charmed. The Local Radish is an absolute sanctuary of creativity and connection, packed with ethically sourced crystals, stunning handcrafted earth-stone jewelry, botanical apothecary treasures, and a dash of whimsical pop-culture fun. It’s the perfect backdrop for an evening of mid-summer mixing and mingling

NFL Flag Championship

July 23-26  |  NFL Flag Championships

The NFL FLAG Championships are officially taking over Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield from July 23–26! Hosted by the NFL, ESPN, and RCX Sports, this massive tournament is bringing together the absolute best youth flag football talent on the planet. Over 350 teams (both girls and boys!) will be hitting the gridiron, ranging from 8U all the way up to high school divisions. There’s also an international division featuring 15U coed and girls’ teams representing 12 different countries—including Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Canada, Australia, and more!

Cars

July 25  |  Cars and Coffee

Are you a car enthusiast? Or just here for the photo opps? Check out this casual gathering where car enthusiasts of all kinds meet up early in the morning to show off their vehicles, talk shop, and drink coffee. Cars and Coffee is incredibly laid-back and completely open to the public. You will see everything parked side-by-side. A multi-million dollar Ferrari hypercar might be sitting right next to a 1960s classic muscle car, a highly modified Japanese tuner car, or someone’s pristine, everyday project car.

July 30 – August 2  |  Gen Con Indy

The largest and longest-running tabletop gaming convention in North America takes over downtown Indy. Expect tens of thousands of attendees, massive exhibit halls, costume contests, game releases, and a sprawling Writers Symposium.
