Stephanie Quick has over 20 years of experience in the community and economic development sector. That includes time with the city of Indianapolis in economic development. She has also held positions with various public and private organizations related to community development and affordable housing, including the Indianapolis Housing Agency, Flaherty & Collins Insight Development Corporation, and Intend Indiana.

Stephanie has a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University with a concentration in management.

She joined Intend Indiana nearly five years ago, and the staff comprised 33 percent minorities (33 percent female), and 25 percent of the leadership were minority and female. No members of the executive leadership team were minority or female. Upon surveying the staffing landscape, she knew this had to change. Stephanie knew that to elevate the credibility of Intend Indiana and to create trusting relationships with the communities they serve, this had to change.

Today, she is proud to say the staff of Intend Indiana consists of 74% minorities and 46% females. Additionally, 40% of the leadership are minority, 20% of the leadership are female, and 50% of the executive leadership team are minority and female.

Stephanie QuickMy Maven Superpower is…The ability to understand and relate to feelings, needs, and perspectives of others.

Self-care habit I swear by…I completely “Get Away” at least twice a year.

My first job was…Dietary Aid at an Adult Memory Care Facility.

The best career advice I can offer is…Be true to yourself, your values, your beliefs.

A purchase I’ve been loving lately is…This is corny, but I have to say it’s my laptop bag. A colleague told me about it.

I feel most confident when…When I have a clear understanding of the topic/situation.

My favorite local restaurant dish is…Grilled Oysters Rock – Oceanaire.

The thing I’ve been binging lately is…I’m a sucker for Court TV.

A fun fact about me is…I am a “grandma” of eight (5 girls and 3 boys) and I am a Harley Davidson motorcycle rider.

The skill I most want to learn is…To speak fluent Spanish.

A Maven you should know is…Kelah Mckee.

I feel most myself when…When I am with family and close friends. The laughs and love never stop!

My “must-have” product is…These days I am all about comfort! A must-have for me is a comfortable and stylish sneaker – preferably with a chunky heel. I am on a Steve Madden sneaker kick and love the Maxima as well as the Michael Kors Trainers.
