Admission is $5 per person, and children under 12 are free.

The Rocket Men

Phoenix Theatre, Sept. 4-21

Phoenix Theatre presents “The Rocket Men” by Crystal Skillman. This startling new play is made up of a cast of women who step into the roles of the former Nazis who sent us to the moon. They share a story about a team that formed the backbone of NASA. While examining the intersection of scientific exploration and moral responsibility, the audience gets to rediscover what it means to be an American … then and now!

Penrod Arts Fair

The Penrod Arts Fair is one of the largest single-day arts fairs in the country, which has taken place at Newfields since 1967. The fair welcomes approximately 20,000 patrons to enjoy live music, food, drinks, and hundreds of art displays.

The 39 Steps

Indiana Repertory Theatre, Sept. 16 – Oct. 12

In classic Hitchcock fashion, a notorious fugitive and a spellbound blonde travel north by northwest from London to Scotland. Will they save Britain from a den of devious spies? Based out of Orangily’s South Broad Ripple shop, come join Indianapolis teachers and librarians for this special author event with Arriel Vinson, who will give a short talk and answer audience questions. Outlaw Music Festival

Outlaw Music Festival has marked a stop for Indianapolis on its 10th annual tour. Willie Nelson leads an all-star lineup of Americana, folk, and country greats for a day-long celebration of music with a rebellious spirit. This powerhouse of a lineup includes music legends like Bob Dylan, Billy Strings, and Sheryl Crow, and many more!

Bill Monroe’s Memorial Music Park and Campground, Sept. 18-20

Bluegrass fans gather for three days of camping, jamming, and performances honoring the Father of Bluegrass himself, Bill Monroe. This tradition started in 1974 when Bill Monroe established Uncle Pen Days as a tribute to his maternal uncle, James Pendleton Vandiver.

Circle City Irish Fest

Experience the spirit of Ireland with lively Celtic music, traditional dance, authentic food, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
