My Maven Superpower is … Connecting, Ideating, Hugging

Best book I’ve read lately is … “INNFLUENCE IS YOUR SUPERPOWER” by Zoe Chance

Self-care habit I swear by … Exhaling. Walking. Drinking more water. Finding sunshine. Listening to many Spotify playlists.

My first job was … Office of Public Defender of Indiana, Capital Division, working on post-conviction appeals for Death-sentenced.

The best career advice I can offer is … Find your recipe for happiness and success over searching to secure a certain title. Be brave, trust your instincts, and be where you are celebrated, NOT merely tolerated.

A purchase I’ve been loving lately is … Gold-rimmed cat-eye glasses (channeling my dearly departed grandmother).

I feel most confident when … I’m with smart, funny people whom I respect and adore (mostly because they’re smart, kind and funny).

My favorite local restaurant dish is … An off-menu item at Ambrosia (circa 1997) that I will not share…!

The thing I’ve been binging lately is … FUBAR and The Diplomat, both on Netflix

A fun fact about me is … LeBron James would have gone to my high school, had St. Vincent-St. Mary not stolen him away. Chrissy Hynde (The Pretenders) and The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney DID attend Firestone High School.

The skill I most want to learn is … Making Sushi. Our family just bought a DIY kit and made our grocery list for limitless deliciousness.

A Maven you should know is … All of the Women of Create.Connect.Collab.

My favorite nonprofit to support is … Butler University

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community? Innovative partnerships, initiatives and curricular developments at Lacy School of Business are supporting Butler University in “changing what it means to be a university”. Ask me how!

What’s next for you? What can we expect to see over the next few years? I’ll keep laughing, breathing and giving everything I have to my family, friends and the amazing people of Lacy School of Business and Butler University. And…I’ll be 49 (or 50) forever, for the record.
