Tiffany Hanson, Outreach and Engagement Manager, Luna Language Services & Marketing Director, Indy Pride
LUNA Language Services is Hanson’s full-time gig, but she’s also Indy Pride‘s marketing and communications director. She wants to eat chicken tacos with celebrities—and has a good reason for that.
Personal life: Hanson, 35, has an apartment near one of the old fountains in Woodruff Place, where she also has a favorite tree.
Q. What’s the best thing that’s happened to you so far this month?
I had the pleasure of attending the International Center’s International Citizen of the Year award dinner with a table full of fabulous people.
Q. What profession other than your own would you like to try?
I would love to host a news show and tell stories about amazing community members.
Q. What three famous people would you like to have over for dinner?
Michelle Obama, Trevor Noah, and David Sedaris. I would serve them chicken tacos with homemade guacamole and pineapple-mango salsa. It sounds basic, but I feel like eating good food with your hands has a way of putting everyone on the same level.
Q. Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Always listen intently. Don’t just wait to talk.
Q. Current TV character obsession?
Leslie Knope (Parks and Recreation) and Liz Lemon (30 Rock). I feel like my personality is a mashup of theirs.
Q. Who, in Indy, should people be following right now?
Gloria Jimenez, Marla Taylor, and Cassie Stockamp.
Always listen intently. Don’t just wait to talk.
Q. Heels or flats/sneakers?
Flats or sneakers. Comfort trumps heels when I am working hard to get stuff done. #GSD
Q. Who makes you laugh no matter what?
Sometimes I send pictures of myself making funny faces to my big brother, and he always sends one back that’s even more ridiculous.
Q. What’s your maven superpower?
Connecting the dots and the right people to get things done.
