Mocktail Recipe: Hotel Tango’s Basil Shake-Up Spritz

Whether you’re looking to cut back on your alcohol intake or just want to sip on something that’s deliciously different, you’ll want to try your hand at making this basil shake-up recipe from Hotel Tango. Similar to their “Hotel Tango Basil-ade” vodka drink, this mocktail is every bit as refreshing, just minus the booze.

  • 1.5oz fresh lemon juice*
  • 1.5oz simple syrup*
  • 2 strawberries
  • 3-4 basil leaves
  • Club soda


  1. Muddle strawberries and basil leaves in a shaker tin.
  2. Add lemon juice, simple syrup, and ice.
  3. Shake vigorously and double strain into glass over ice.
  4. Top with soda.
  5. Garnish with strawberries, lemons, and basil. 

*Note: Substitute lemon juice and simple syrup with 3oz light lemonade to make it lower calorie.
