Christine Warren, Director of Marketing at 13 WTHR, the top-rated NBC affiliate News Leader in Indianapolis, and third-generation Asian-American, loves dancing, immersing herself in cultural experiences, and exploring new places. If that doesn’t already make you want to hang out with her, wait until you hear this. She has nearly 20 years experience of working with local TV stations in a variety of news, sales, and marketing leadership roles. We have to know more. Over to you, Christine!

My Maven Superpower is … dancing *Jazz Hands*

Self-care habits I swear by … Ice globe facial massagers and monthly facials.

The best book I’ve read lately is … Whiskey in a Teacup” by Reese Witherspoon.

My first job was … Retail work at Talbot’s at Tyson’s Corner Mall.

The best career advice I can offer is Community is so vital. Women need to feel supported and encouraged. Surround yourself with strong female and male allies. Encourage each other. Don’t be afraid to show your scars and be vulnerable with one another. Once we are at our most honest and vulnerable state, can we then empower and build each other up!

A purchase I’ve been loving lately is … Rachel Zoe’s seasonal Curateur box.

My favorite local restaurant dish is … Warm Quinoa Salad at Petite Chou in Broad Ripple with a champagne cocktail.

I feel most confident when … I’m empowering other women to believe in their true authentic selves.

The thing I’ve been binging lately is …Emily in Paris” (season 3) and “White Lotus” (season 2).

A fun fact about me is … I grew up dancing since I was 4 years old and used to teach hip-hop classes to youth.

Something I’d like to celebrate … Working with 13 WTHR and the TEGNA Foundation, we were able to grant $55,000 to 10 local nonprofit groups, helping underserved community groups succeed this year. Through 13News’ “Send the Love” micro-giving campaign, WTHR was able to raise $240,000+ to serve additional local nonprofits this past year.

What’s next for me is … I serve on several Boards (Downtown Indy, Inc. IDMI, Cancer Support Community Indiana, New Hope of Indiana Marketing) but would love to engage and network further with my Indy Maven collective and other local grassroots organizations focused on women’s equity.
