Bates-Hendricks local, Eudahnas Crutchfield, is both analytical and creative. By day, she is an operating room educator and by night, a candle creator for her company, Moth to a Flame Candles. She whips up yummy smelling candles like her scents Gingerbread and Jungle Juice. Tell us more, Eudahnas!
My Maven Superpower is … I’m multifaceted.
Self-care habits I swear by … Naps! Naps are biblical!
My first job was … Shampoo girl at a hair salon when I was a preteen. My first paycheck came from McDonald’s, though.
The best career advice I can offer is … Money matters, but your mental health matters more. If you find a career that you love, keeps you sane AND pays well, you’ve hit the jackpot.
I feel most confident when … I’m rested.
Best book I’ve read lately … The Light We Carry by Michelle Obama.
A purchase I’ve been loving lately … I love new items but I really dig my staples. My camouflage jackets from Fly’s Nest are my go-to accents for just about everything I wear. Now, shopflysnest.com featured items that go fast so if you see something, snag it!
The thing I’ve been binging lately is … Always true crime series and Flicks. Always!
The skill I most want to learn is… How to play my acoustic guitar.
A Maven you should know is… Erica Scott.
Something I’d like to celebrate is… I launched a business about a year ago and I’m hanging tough!
What’s next for me is… I want to tap more into my creative side and who I am outside of my professional life and my business. I’m great with words and I love to inspire. I love fashion too so maybe a fashion blog or a lifestyle blog. I want to share more of the ‘me’ you guys haven’t experienced.
Success looks like… Success is a mindset. It’s not monetary. It’s not superficial. Success is a feeling and it’s not one thing. We experience success more times than we acknowledge. Sometimes I consider just waking up and getting out of bed a success. I consider clearing my desk before I leave on a Friday afternoon successful. I believe in celebrating small victories and small victories make me successful.
