Charlie Alexeev, Founder and Creative Director of Emerald Design Studio is more than an entrepreneur. The breadth of her design career involves working at both an agency and an in-house startup. She lives in Broad Ripple with her husband and two cats and loves tending to both of her gardens and using the fruit of her labor to create yummy vegan recipes. Let’s hear from you now, Charlie!

The best career advice I can offer is … Do the thing that scares, you take the leap. If it doesn’t pay off, at least you won’t live with the “what if”

Something I’d like to celebrate is… I survived a major double jaw surgery on November 9th! Not that I was going to die, but that it was a big ordeal and I’m still healing. But SO glad it’s over.
What’s next for me is… Continue to grow Emerald, and also taking off plenty of time to travel!
Success looks like… Getting to spend the majority of my days doing what I want to do. I love my business, and I love that I have the freedom to take an afternoon off for a hike, or take as many vacations as I like.
