The best part about summer? Those fresh vegetables, of course! Farmers Markets all over Indianapolis have loads of veggies to choose from, but every Maven knows that these markets sport much more than just the greenery for your salads. We had the pleasure of spending our Saturday mornings searching local Indianapolis Markets, finding the best products and vendors, and sharing their stories! Here are six must-see women-owned vendors at the Carmel Farmers Market.

WHEN? every Saturday from May 6 through Sept. 30, 2023 – 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM

WHERE? 2 Carter Green . Carmel, Indiana 46032-3809

Ash and Elm

Opened by husband and wife team Aaron and Andréa Homoya, Ash and Elm is redefining what it means to be a cider. Using exclusively quality apples from the Midwest, these alcoholic beverages are made with intentionality and care, and trust us: they taste that way.

Cafe Baby

Founded by Jeannie after she had her first child, Café Baby was formed out of a want to avoid processed baby food. Café Baby creates all sorts of creative foods from fruit and vegetable purées to muffins and lactation cookies. If you are a mom, this is a must-stop.

Green Growers

He farms. She Markets. That is the motto that Kyle & Stacey Heiny go by when talking about their organic greens and family business. Green Growers is known for their herbs, flowers and elderberry syrup (which can be a cold preventative). They aren’t just friendly, they’re knowledgeable, and Green Growers is definitely worth a stop.

Jo Jo’s Dough

Jo Jo bakes EVERYTHING herself, which means you can be confident that whatever you buy at her stand will be incredible. We here at Indy Maven are obsessed with her Havarti dill bread. Whether you go for one of her creative bread creations or a delicious cookie, you won’t be disappointed.

JP Flowers

Owned by fourth-generation farmers, Elizabeth Snepp and family are a blossoming bunch. JP Flowers makes the Carmel Farmers Market beautiful with their stunning bouquets and florals. Providing decor for events such as The Pan Am Games, American Bus, and the 100-year anniversary of the Columbia Club, JP Flowers is sure to make your house gorgeous for summer get-togethers.

Pots and Pans

In the mood for a sweet apple pie? Or how about a savory Chicken Pot Pie? Good news! Pots and Pans Pie Company has the pie game on lock. Owner Clarissa Morley has cracked the code on addicting pies – both savory and sweet – that you HAVE to go try out. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.

But don’t worry Mavens, if you don’t live by Carmel we’ve got you covered. Watch out for four more markets with finds that you won’t want to miss!
