Kat Nick Kat Nick is a Marriage and Family Therapist by license, but over the past few years has found joy in working with individuals on their trauma/negative core beliefs that are keeping them from living their best lives. She is trained in and loves using EMDR. After growing up in Indianapolis and attending IU for undergrad, Kat lived in St. Louis for her graduate program in therapy. In 2017, she and her husband moved back to Indy and have since gotten married, bought a home, and had a baby!

Kat loves spending time with her family, reading, having a drink with friends, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

My Maven Superpower is …

I’d say my superpower is being able to help people be comfortable talking about difficult things. As a therapist, this very much comes in handy!

Best book I’ve read lately is …

“The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy.

Self-care habit I swear by …

Journaling and working out.

My first job was …

Working at the Circle Center Mall at PacSun.

The best career advice I can offer is …

Know your worth, and be wary of a job that describes its culture as a “family.”

A purchase I’ve been loving lately is …

Our espresso machine—a must for a new mom!

I feel most confident …

After a cup of coffee and a journalling session.

My favorite local restaurant dish is …

Basically any sushi from Sakura.

The thing I’ve been binging lately is …

Anything Bravo.

A fun fact about me is …

I’m super interested in manifestation/law of attraction.

The skill I most want to learn is …

I want to be more skilled in patience.

A Maven you should know is …

Kate Sullivan.

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?

Going back to work after having my baby.

What’s next for you? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

What’s next for me is figuring out my new role as a mom, career woman, and overall human being. I’ve entered a new phase in my life, and I plan on taking advantage of every second of it!
