May 2024 OVERVIEW
The word of the month is “clarity,” imo. As we emerge from Eclipse season and ease out of Mercury’s retrograde period, strength, personal empowerment, and beauty prevail. Things may still feel a little wobbly after last month’s shake-up, but at least it’s spring, and so long as you stay in your lane and continue prioritizing your own happiness and peace, positive transformation is inevitable.
After a month like April, so ripe with astrological events that contributed to such intense and perhaps unsettling feelings, transformation is inevitable. While last month may have felt like chaos, this month will surely be calmer. Because for now, Mercury is direct and we are fully out of eclipse season. You have my stamp of approval and are authorized, once again, to work your spells, set intentions and manifestations, and tend to your magic.
It’s never all one thing, though, is it? There is no such thing as all good or all bad. May begins with Venus and Pluto squaring off on the first, highlighting that what you want from life may have changed or will be changing. Watch for shifts in power and changing priorities. You will not need to make sudden changes or decisions for things to change. Just let your life unfurl.
This month, some things that once confused you are now crystal clear. Suddenly, you understand exactly how you feel and don’t need to question or scrutinize it to make sense or be valid. You’re allowed to change, and your mind is, too. You don’t have to choose between being in the throes of passion and putting yourself first.
On the 7th, the Sun will make a positive angle with Saturn, the planet of stability and structure, bringing comfort as the planets conspire to show you the way toward the future you hope for. Then, the following day, on the 8th, the first New Moon since the eclipse season occurs. This New Moon in Taurus will usher in blessed grounding energy that grants us all the insight necessary to set realistic goals.
This month feels like a divine opportunity to progress toward more freedom and open-mindedness, especially mid-month, when the Sun and Uranus form a conjunction, inspiring a welcome disruption to wherever your life has begun to feel mundane. Trust your instincts and keep your mind tuned on your short- and long-term goals. Once again, clarity is sure to come regarding your path toward the life you want to be living. At the same time, Mercury will enter Taurus making things feel simpler and less complicated.
Stay true to who you are and focus on living as you want to be. You dream of a transformation that comes instantly, but slow and steady wins the race by sustainably building up to a lifestyle change you can support. Don’t worry about who you will be or were last year and how that person is different from you now. Focus on releasing your limiting and disempowering beliefs–burn them to the ground and watch as the ashes rise to show you the path forward to the truest iteration of who you are meant to be right now.
BIRTHDAY ROYALTY <3 Taurus Placements (Birthday between April 20 – May 20):
This month, you are in your element as several planets land in your sign, and everyone else gets a taste of your grounding medicine. Your road is wide open and you’re set up for success in massive ways, all because of the work you’ve been doing to clear a path and prioritize transformation that feels like a long time coming. You have been focused, honest, and keeping your eye on the prize for a long, long time, and it’s clear that your effort is paying off. Everyone around you benefits from your shine, too. Your positivity is providing a welcome and helpful boost to the energy in every room you enter. Everything seems to align in your favor to bring you excellent opportunities, chance encounters, and fated events. Be careful to avoid making big decisions on an impulsive whim–part of staying true to who you are is about taking the time to stay grounded and consider the impact of your decisions. It could be that you feel inspired to have a mega closet-clearing story sale, or you cut out negative people from your life, or even overhaul your habits so that they support the “better” version of yourself. But, hey, there is no better version of you, just so you know. It’s awesome that you want to be healthier, happier, and more balanced, but don’t punish yourself for any version of yourself that doesn’t prioritize that. You’re just doing the best you can with whatever you have all the time. There is no bad version of you. Give the parts of yourself that you think are bad a hug and a little treat. Stop beating yourself up for not always being 100% on.
