March 2022 OVERVIEW
Sometimes the destruction of our foundations can be devastating, but it’s not always: Sometimes “devastation” can be a relief. In March, expect to realize that “structure” isn’t real. We’ve been living under the sovereign state of restraint, and not just on a collective level—some of this is largely self-imposed. Be it COVID laws, lack of boundaries from an increasingly WFH culture, or isolation from friendships you’ve paused—you are noticing the ways you feel imprisoned this Pisces season. As the façade has melted away, it’s clear that control, power, and authority are merely an illusion, benefiting a precarious structure that doesn’t always serve your more human purpose. This recognition has granted a stronger sense of personal power that encourages you to use your voice and make your escape. Choose curiosity over fear.
March begins with a New Moon in Pisces on the 2nd, providing the opportunity to tap deeper into intuition and urging you to escape your confines. With Venus, Mars, and Pluto all in alignment at the same time, money and relationships suddenly play a huge part in how much agency you feel you have. If money has been an issue, or if the way your relationship and money have played together hasn’t been quite so charmed, trust that this newfound alignment will help karmically balance the scales. Things can’t get better if you expect them to get worse or stay challenging, so take the signs that are given to you and delight in them.
There’s a lot of potential to connect with yourself on an energetic level this month. On the 9th, Mercury enters Pisces, opening the door for subtly clairvoyant nudges to come through, especially in dreams. The potential for ethereal communication or messages from divine realms can be overwhelming at times, especially if you’re not accustomed to receiving that type of communication from the universe. Relax into the messages and allow yourself to receive them. We are especially charged and charmed this month with potential, and these messages can provide clear guidance for tapping into that.
The Full Moon in Virgo on the 18th further shines a light on where we’ve allowed ourselves to harden into pointless, or even destructive, routines just for the sake of them. It’s clear for all to see that the day-to-day and status quo have become totally freaking boring. Frankly, we can all agree that it’s exhausting to continue participating in patterns and habits that serve and benefit outdated beliefs. March is when we begin to release those beliefs and change our routines, allowing us to grow and evolve. The Piscean energy asks us to bring those otherworldly messages to life by finding nonverbal ways of communicating. Be it through dancing, writing, breathing, physical touch, or any other way, expressing yourself in this way should feel incredibly rewarding this month. This is not just giving you the opportunity to express yourself. Stop playing small. There is so much more, but you will only believe it when you see it in your dreams. In the context of the bigger picture, you’re giving yourself the opportunity to look around and see your impact on the world and the wild constellation of connections with the divine that keeps you running. You’re giving yourself the gift of stepping into your power.
BIRTHDAY SPOTLIGHT: Pisces (February 19 – March 20):
Callous as others may be, you are always the perennial forgiver. You know the rules of every game, but you never exploit them because you love people and you want to trust them. This month, you are receiving indicators that your personal renaissance has begun and your own worth is of the utmost priority. And in classic Piscean fashion, it appears as if out of nowhere and against your will. You love change, but you are afraid of what it means for your own life and your inner secret life—the person no one knows but the one who claps back to every question and fights for what they want. If you have been living on automatic pilot and letting things happen to you, you are snapped back to reality with the events that occur at the New Moon in Pisces on March 2nd. It is as if you have followed a version of yourself off a cliff and woke up right before you hit the ground. What you have paused or put on the back burner is at a rapid boil right now. It is time to attend to the problems you know have started to affect your peace, not just because there is honestly nowhere to run but because you feel *ready.* With the Full Moon in Libra on the 18th, you may sense that a behemoth of emotion is resting just beneath the surface and waiting to be triggered. These feelings could end up erupting in a way that was unplanned and even toxic, but they need to be released. You are ready to put your faith in the darkness and wait for the right thing to appear. You trust yourself this month and you are ready to move forward without (okay, maybe with a little) fear. You are out of your comfort zone and ready to enter the abyss and exit the fire.

NOW FOR THE REST OF YOU...
Aries (March 21 – April 19):
Since December, several planets have been converging in your career sector, creating a domino effect that ripples throughout all areas of your life. You’ve been feeling like you just need a moment; it’s all starting to pile up and make you question your concept of work on a more cosmic level. Connecting more to your sensitive and conceptual, emotional side does not necessarily come easily for you, but this month, you have to face the facts. You can’t solve this problem with logic or intellect. Your career path might have, on the surface, come into greater focus with more clarity, while internally, you have more questions than ever. Finally, after all the grinding, it dawns on you to consider whether this is actually what you want. Maybe the answer’s yes. But maybe you want a change. If you feel stuck, here’s where applying some imaginative elbow grease can lend a hand. You don’t have to keep beating your head against the wall or trying to make a square peg fit. Invert your questions: Instead of, “What am I supposed to do to change my entire life,” ask yourself, “What could make this one daunting task ahead of me easier?” Put one foot in front of the other and the insurmountable task becomes a series of tiny obstacles you can easily overcome.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20):
These past few months have felt especially heavy for you, even if you’ve found it easier to carry the weight of all your responsibilities. You can do it, but it requires you to bury something inside you … and it feels just hard. This is because you’ve put your relationships under a microscope and begun to examine how they serve you, especially the ones with shared goals and responsibilities. While you can keep up appearances and somehow always manage to get it all done, you’re realizing that when you’re down, you could really use a strong shoulder to lean on and help you get it all done. You need a container for your emotions and maybe it’s clear where you’re lacking that support. It’s not that the people surrounding you aren’t helping or that they’re bad for you by any means. It’s just that this month you’re recognizing where there are holes. Maybe the players just aren’t in the right positions. You might need a stand-in to serve a specific purpose your nearest and dearest can’t fulfill. Don’t think of them as a stop-gap, though; the stand-in is essential. You can’t lean on any one person to be your entire support system when people have their own things poppin’ and their own special skills. However, it may be hard for you to admit, but you do need a support system.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20):
You’re a freaking force to be reckoned with right now, bb Gem. You’ve always been unstoppable, but lately, you’re especially blessed with crystal clear vision and foresight. It’s time to take the next step into your power and lay the groundwork. Let’s face it: you haven’t always been the most meticulous or applied the sharpest eye to the details. Right now, as your goals are starting to crystallize into tangible realities, it’s important that you do pay attention. The details are ultra-important at this level, and it would be all too easy for a little misstep to derail the whole project or take it on a course you’re not expecting. You’re, as we all know, especially gifted when it comes to doublespeak, but if you apply it here, it’s likely to be misconstrued and you can’t afford that in your position. What you’re experiencing is a moment of good fortune—it might not be easily recognizable, as you’re used to having to make your mind work overtime to make up for your mouth. You can’t always deliver what you promise, but these moments right now are super auspicious for you. Face down your demons and prioritize clear self-expression. You can (probably) have it all.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22):
All rest and no play makes Cancer babes need to slay. You’re entering a season of, what I like to call, Party Rage Fever™. In other words, you might jump out of your skin if you don’t plan a few nights out. It’s imperative for your health to be seen, in a way that is soooo out of character for you. You love a good performance and are known to put on a great shell to protect your soft spots, but you really want to feel alive right now, and that might encourage you to throw caution to the wind. Adventure is calling and you must go. There is part of you that wants to hit snooze and ignore the call, but you, who’s so self-aware, know all too well that this will just fester and grow into something bigger and end up swallowing you for the spring. You could stay in and watch rom-coms every night forever, or you could just give in to your basest urge to feel sexy and experience other peoples’ energy for, like, one single night. The couch will be there when you get back. If you’re in a relationship, stepping out is just going to make it even better to come home.
Leo (July 23 – August 22):
This month, you’re given the uncomfortable task of examining your comfort. Sitting with yourself and evaluating what feels right intuitively is usually harder than just going with the flow and following your routines. You’re being asked to follow your emotions instead right now. With your ruler, the sun, in Pisces, the last planet in the zodiac, you can tap into a deeper sense of intimacy with your intuition than you normally experience. You can connect with yourself on a more profound level right now when you allow yourself to ask difficult questions and feel into the responses the answers bring up for you. Your instincts are right. If something feels uncomfortable right now, it might mean that you have outgrown it. This month, you’re turning over the rocks and seeing what’s beneath them. Once you’ve seen what’s beneath the surface, you may have to reconsider how you feel about a situation and adapt accordingly. You can’t stay in situations that aren’t calibrated to the version of you that you’re becoming.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22):
Don your favorite cozy socks and slip into your best plush blanket because you need to dig in and put your closest connections under a microscope. This might require some time to yourself for deep reflection, journaling, ritual baths, and comforting indulgences because it’s likely that some feelings will come up. This is a good thing, and sometimes all you need is a good cry to release what ails you, but I get the sense that this is not an ailment. The people you let into your inner circle are used to you showing up for them at 110% power, so much so that they don’t know who you are when you need to dial it back a bit. You’ve put off prioritizing yourself above others for so long that, to them, this might appear to be a game you’re playing or a mask you’re wearing. You know that this is no mask; you’re just becoming attuned to new frequencies and touching a new version of inner wellbeing. This is where the sweatpants come in. Take some time to calculate your next steps before saying or doing anything that could jeopardize your position in certain key relationships. Know that you cannot continue being of service to your people if you don’t create enough space to serve yourself.
Libra (September 23 – October 22):
You can run but you can’t hide, dear Libra, and you’re not outsmarting anyone but yourself in March. It’s heavy energy but you have to turn around and face it before you lose contact with the real you forever. The call is coming from inside the house: What you think is a safe place for you right now is actually inauthentic and sensitive to ruin. Your protective measures are futile when you’ve already let the wrong thing in and lied to yourself and others. The New Moon in Pisces on March 2nd has softened your boundaries with others, but the Full Moon in Virgo on March 18th is forcing you to redefine yourself from the inside out. Expect to take on pieces of the people you love like a skilled actor. You’ll notice a kaleidoscopic identity emerge this month while you integrate all the parts of you lurking in the background and remodel yourself for a big reveal on March 30th. As Sun and Mars shift to Aries at the end of the month, you’ll start to entertain alternatives to the life you’ve always known, even if that means conflict and stress for the foreseeable future.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21):
Nothing is sacred, yet you … you *are* in the month of March. You are beginning to notice the luminescent glow underneath the special connections in your life and the way you fit into the vast cosmos. With the New Moon in Pisces right at the start on March 2nd, you can barely contain your vulnerability—it pours out of you and all over everything you care about. You just sense things on a seismic, mythic level and you’re open to the morse code the universe is sending you, in dreams and otherwise. Your reticent sign can sometimes have aggressive boundaries, but beneath those you are loath to admit that you’re soft and tender. This month, you’re temporarily lifting the private label on your inner world and making it public (let’s not get crazy though, it’s still password protected). The Full Moon in your cosmic house of undoing on March 18th, has you focused on getting a lil’ R & R before you lose all touch with yourself. Listen to your heart and let people in—a tall order for you, but completely within your reach.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21):
March has you noticing that some things are not meant for you. The New Moon on March 2nd restores your humility by actively destroying a dream that was only a fantasy. Don’t worry too much, Sag, you’ll be happier with what replaces it. Even though you will feel a bit leveled this month, you will also see life rearrange itself to accommodate your real self (not merely your pretend self). You’re supposed to enjoy the journey, Sag! Not just focus on some unreal outcome that you wouldn’t even be happy with. As Venus and Mars combine in the friendly sign of Aquarius on March 6th, you may feel crazy energetic and pushed to action. This is a good thing: Unconsciously it is a time to act as you identify what is *for* you, to the exclusion of all else. At the Full Moon in the hard-working sign of Virgo on March 18th, you might be focused more on the dynamics of your career and not on building connections. You are expanding to take on more responsibility—embrace the lonely road this month and you might find yourself quickly at your destination.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19):
Personal resurrection is your theme in March, particularly following the United States’ first Pluto return in 248 years. With Mars and Pluto in your sign on March 3rd and tensions running high, you’re in a direct face-off with your own shadow—the self you project onto others and pretend is soo NOT you. In order to grow, you have to return to where you started on March 2nd at the New Moon and deal with the parts of you that are less than lovely. March is about realizing the traits you feel define you that also continue to hold you back. You may feel like you’re disconnected from your own power this month, but you’re actually writing your heroine’s origin story. At the Full Moon in Virgo on March 18th, unexpected events may force a collaboration with a longtime enemy. This month, you’re integrating the part of you that wants to hoard responsibility, play the victim, and act like you’re the only one in your life doing the dirty work.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18):
The vibes are officially off, Aquarius. But nevertheless, don’t freak out just yet. You’re entering a new phase of emotional frailty that is allowing you to access a room inside you that you may never have entered. With the New Moon in Pisces on the 2nd, you might be feeling oddly emotional for your detached sign. Expect to be forced to deal with a few inconvenient truths you may have been burying under work, play, and habits. Even if you aren’t ready to explore what this means for your inner sanctum, your boundaries are super fluid with others right now. As the tides shift mid-month after the Venus-Mars connection in your sign after March 6th, you are realigning with your purpose and reconnecting with your deepest desires. As you focus on what is most important to you, others come out of the woodwork to help you realize that ambition at the Full Moon in Virgo on the 18th. Your vision can only be realized if you spend time integrating your shadow and finding your people.
